Jorby
Joey “Jorby” Ahrens excels at casting and works primarily with Psyonix’s Rocket League Championship Series. He has worked with the RLCS for years and started casting both RLCS North America and Europe in Season 4. Aside from casting the last three seasons of Rocket League, Ahrens worked on Season 2 of Rocket League Universal Open and Rocket League at X Games Minneapolis. Ahrens also does work with Battlerite and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.
He was first introduced to video games at 5 years old with his Sega Genesis. Extremely competitive by nature, he enjoyed watching Quake tournaments, but his love of esports didn’t come to the forefront until he started watching Super Smash Bros. Melee and SMITE. It was love at first sight when Rocket League came out in 2015 and Ahrens’ passion for the game pushed him to get involved with casting.
Ahrens’ most memorable event was Rocket League at X Games Minneapolis. It holds a special place in his heart as the first Major he ever worked and the beginning of his journey as a Rocket League caster. He joined CSA in 2018.
Ahrens is based out of Los Angeles, California and was formerly a beatboxer in an a cappella group. Some of his all-time favorite video games include Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, the Elder Scrolls franchise and Halo.
