Jake Lyon’s esports career began in the arena as one of the top players in the Overwatch League and Overwatch World Cup. After two seasons of award-winning performance, inspired by a turn as talent on the Overwatch World Cup desk, Lyon shifted his focus to telling player stories. He hopes, through his commentary, that “the whole world can understand the passion and intensity of emotion that are the heart of the esports movement.” 

As a life-long fan of competitive gaming, Lyon has accumulated extensive experience across multiple titles and genres. Combining this history with his pro player perspective enables Lyon to deliver exciting and insightful commentary across the FPS spectrum. 

Lyon works as a regular caster now for the Overwatch League, currently in its 3rd season. Lyon’s isn’t letting his skills drop off either; he is still consistently ranked within the top 100 DPS players in North America.
