Arda Ocal
Arda Ocal’s resume overflows with broadcast experience. While he’s currently the voice of the NHL Gaming World Championships, his tenure includes World Wrestling Entertainment, MSG Network where he hosted “The MSG Hockey Show,” ESPN and TRT World. Ocal’s coverage of League of Legends World Championship and BlizzCon are what got him “hooked” on competitive gaming and players’ stories.
He achieved a career goal of working with SportsCenter when he got to talk about the League of Legends World Championship at Madison Square Garden in 2016, and most recently a recap of the Overwatch World Cup at BlizzCon 2018. Ocal is a passionate gamer who “just loves video games.” Ocal, fluent in French and Turkish, has experience hosting and moderating convention panels.
Ocal has yet to directly work with a video game title, but that will soon change. Some of his favorite games include Mega Man, NHL 94, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting and The Legend of Zelda franchise. He placed third at the 2017 Nintendo World Championships and won “Best Announcer” at the NHL 94 World Tournament.
Based in New York City, New york, Ocal now intends to bring his experience to the esports scene and joined CSA to help launch himself in the right direction.
